After reading hundreds of children’s books to her children, Stephanie Deegan decided to write her own. This first-time author and illustrator based the character of Wonder Willow on her family dogs, Gus and, of course, Willow. Wonder Willow Isn’t Afraid of Thunderstorms follows a family’s beloved pet as she overcomes her fear of thunderstorms with the love and patience of her people.
